Solar Cutters Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Solar Cutters Membership and related services. By applying for, renewing, or using a Solar Cutters Membership, you agree to these Terms.
1. Parties
- “Solar Cutters”, “we”, “us”, “our” means Solar Cutters Pty Ltd (ABN 60 622 166 705).
- “You”, “your” refers to any individual or organisation that engages with Solar Cutters, including but not limited to:
- Applicants and accepted members of Solar Cutters
- Individuals or businesses who subscribe to our newsletter or communications
- Individuals or businesses who register for, attend, or participate in our events, training, roadshows, or promotions
- Users of our website, membership portal, or affiliated social media groups
2. Definitions
- Website – www.solarcutters.com and related web pages, including private social media groups operated by Solar Cutters.
- Membership – your paid subscription to Solar Cutters.
- Membership Application – the form you complete to apply for membership.
- Partner Benefits and Entitlements – exclusive offers, discounts, or promotions made available to Solar Cutters Members.
- Cutter Commandments – the principles all Members must follow, available at solarcutters.com/commandments.
- Intellectual Property – all logos, images, trademarks, and content owned by Solar Cutters.
3. Membership
- Membership is non-transferable. You must not share your login details.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, notify us immediately.
4. Membership Application
- Submitting an application does not create rights or obligations until we confirm acceptance in writing (usually by email).
- Membership is at Solar Cutters’ discretion.
5. Membership Fees & Renewals
- Membership runs for 12 months from the approval date and is payable in advance.
- Membership automatically renews annually unless cancelled prior to renewal.
- Renewal notices will be sent via email. Fees may change and will be notified before renewal.
- Discounts or vouchers applied in prior years may not apply to future renewals.
- No refunds are available once payment has been processed.
6. Changes to Membership
- We may update membership fees, benefits, or entitlements from time to time.
- If you do not agree to changes, you may cancel your membership before renewal.
7. Inactive Members
- Membership benefits are suspended if fees are unpaid.
- This may include exclusion from events, removal from groups, or loss of partner entitlements.
8. Standards Access (AUS/NZS Solar & Battery Standards)
- Access to the online library via Standards New Zealand is for authorised members only.
- You may download or print a single copy for internal use only.
- Documents may not be stored, copied, or shared beyond this licence.
- Upon expiry or termination of membership, all downloaded or printed documents must be deleted or destroyed.
9. Termination
We may terminate your membership immediately if you:
- Fail to pay membership fees for more than one month.
- Breach the Cutter Commandments.
- Damage the reputation of Solar Cutters.
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Redistribute or sell Solar Cutters content or member benefits.
- Are convicted of a serious offence or breach of law.
No refunds or compensation will be provided upon termination.
10. Intellectual Property
As a member you may use Solar Cutters’ intellectual property, subject to the following:
- You acknowledge Solar Cutters’ ownership of all intellectual property.
- You may only use logos and branding in line with our guidelines.
- You must not use our branding in a misleading or deceptive manner.
- Use must cease immediately upon termination of membership.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.
